Hi, I'm Rita Huang.
Give me a free afternoon and you’ll find me turning some half-baked idea over in my head, usually something like “okay but how would this actually work?”
My whole thing started with economics. I was cramming college-level material in tenth grade like it was a personality trait, and it eventually landed my team third place at the NEC Global Round.
These days my curiosity has gotten a bit more ambitious, branching into public health and technology through projects like Aurabridge and Rebuildr.
When I’m off the clock, you’ll probably catch me watching a movie, wandering around with a camera hunting for street shots, or three chapters deep into a detective novel I swore I’d only read for twenty minutes.

I write competitive analyses of equipment from five partners, including BD and MEIKO, and have liaised with upstream and downstream customers across six countries. I’ve also shadowed the WEINAS oncology-compounding team as it tailors systems to individual hospitals. After installation, I track device-use data, gather staff feedback, and share opportunities for product improvement with the team.
Mental Health ServicesField Researcher
Through observation and staff interviews at psychiatric hospitals, I explored the practical challenges people face after discharge. That fieldwork later informed Aurabridge.

I study how physiological signals might make AI companionship more responsive to emotion, extracting PPG and EDA features and testing four LLMs with emotion-specific prompts.
